Instructions: You are to interview two people and record their responses on this form. You should state their name and their comments to your solution to the identified problem.
VI. I interviewed two individuals to see what their response would be to my (our) plan. Their responses are as follows.
The first person I interviewed was my mother and her response was that she agreed that immigration should be handles on a state level instead of federal, but she thought that the questioning of the people by police should not be random. She thought that maybe everyone should have to prove their citizenship annually. The second person I interviewed was my sister and she asked if the police would be allowed to question anyone they wanted or would there be guidelines to who they could question to prove citizenship. She also said that there are already police officers that use their power to illegally ask people to prove citizenship randomly.
VII. My (our) answer, based on our research, to their objections and concerns are that the police that are aloud to question people will have to go through a training program that teaches them how to look for illegal immigrants by the eye. The questioning of people will not be random, but more if a person is seen to be suspicious of being an illegal immigrant. The police would have to prove their reasoning on why they questioned that particular person. This bill will make it legal for police to question anyone they feel suspicious while it might be true that some police officers already do this to people that dont know that the police can not question them for no reason.
